Why brands should listen

It’s funny how social media makes you feel. I don’t know if it’s just me, or not. But when I am scrolling through TikTok at 1 in the morning, I feel like someone who doesn’t have life. But when I scroll through Linkedin at 3 pm I feel like someone who is really smart. In both cases, I am doing nothing productive but staring at my phone. And I think that brands make you feel similar. Doesn’t matter if two brands are producing T-shirts. In one brand’s T-shirt, you can feel like an idiot and in the other, you feel like the best fashionista in town. Same as with social media, you do the same thing with both products, but you feel different.

And the best way to deliver the right feeling is by listening. A good friend is the one who listens to you, so it is with brands. Doesn’t matter if you ask your friend the stupidest question, you will always get an answer. And he won’t be there only when you ask about him. Try to ask brand questions that you would never ask them before. Write an email to Asos about your problems with the phone network or ask them what should you have for dinner today. Most likely, you won’t get the answer. But if you do, that would be epic and you would probably order even more stuff from their store. That’s why listening matters.
